Whats New in 2019? Top wood burning and gas fireplace trends

Collaborating with the UK’s top interior designers and architects, it is vital that all of our team at Bespoke Fireplace Designs stay ahead of the up-and-coming fireplace trends.

The Autumn season has seen a huge boost in room-dividing fireplaces, specifically a keen interest in wood burners with retractable glass doors. Our BRAND NEW Kalfire W53-50R is a beautiful new addition to the range, with 200mm DIA flue spigot. A perfect log burner to suit many living areas.

2018 also saw a rise in glass tunnel gas fireplaces, including a stunning bespoke case study in Cheshire, UK (coming soon) with full height glass and exclusive Honeywell operated gas burner with hand-painted ceramic log and wood chip fuel bed.

Elongating our balanced flue tunnel gas fireplaces was also popular, with many clients specifying black ceramic glass interiors, with matching side panels to extend the width of the overall design.

So…what is new in 2019?

Glass fireplaces will continue to climb well into the New Year, with a key focus on suspended designs. Rectangular hanging fireplaces will be a focal point of open-plan living spaces, with integrated gas burners for an ideal entertainment area.

We also see specific models in our KalfireĀ gas fireplace ranges being extremely popular, including the Prestige GP105-59F and G160-41F. Wide gas fireplaces are continually prominent in all configurations, front / corner / 3-sided, offering uninhibited views of the flames, with a variety of fuel bed and interior options available on all fires.

Technology on our Kalfire wood burning fireplaces offers extremely clean-burning and high efficiency ratings. With the option of burning as a hermetically sealed log burner, our models are excellent for the growing demand for ECO & MVHR Homes.

In summary, 2018 was a fantastic year for room-diving and tunnel glass fireplaces. Looking into 2019, suspended fires will be a leading design, accompanied by extra-wide fireplaces and eco-friendly wood burners.
