3-Sided Wood Burning Fireplace
Fulwith Brow Mansion, Yorkshire
This mansion was a high profile project, specifying two extra large wood burning fireplaces, and a balanced flue fire for the bedroom. The two bespoke wood burners were identical in design and manufacture, with tall wide gatherhoods, supported by the loadbearing wall behind, into a vertical flue system to the roof. The removable ashpan and burning grills were designed into the centre of the fireplace base, with specific instructions of limited size, to keep the load of wood to a certain level. The balanced flue fireplace was specified into the bedroom, as the client wanted to keep the ‘large fireplace’ theme throughout. So, with building regulation restrictions, to allow a higher KW for the large fire, we recommended one of our balanced flue model corner models.
