Bespoke Tunnel Steel Fireplace

Victorian Renovation,

London

A beautifully bespoke tunnel fireplace designed to fit into an existing tiled chimney stack. The positioning of the two-sided fireplace was between two open-plan living spaces, so the overall finish had to match the existing interior décor of the room.

The client originally had a classic log burning stove installed into the fireplace opening, which he wanted to modernise and convert into a gas appliance.

The biggest challenges encountered with this fireplace was the uneven nature of the opening, with great discrepancies corner-corner and face-face.

We designed a shallow gather connecting into the clients existing chimney, and clear toughened partial glass was needed to aid the draw through the flue.

Our client had the choice of a variety of interior lining and fuel bed choices. They opted for a luxury ceramic glass interior on the walls of the gas fire, and our exclusive log set.

A bespoke finishing trim was added around the steel firebox to add the perfect final touch to the bespoke open gas fireplace.
